Thanksgiving

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 107:1Â

Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday.
I know Christmas season gets all the good songs and movies and presents. Plus it’s about the coming of Christ to earth to bring redemption to His Church.
So, I probably should like Christmas more.
But I think it’s because the holiday gives me unhurried time to sit & reflect & be thankful.
Sure, we can do that any day of the year.
In fact, some of the top coaches & mentors out there suggest practicing daily gratitude (i.e., thanksgiving) as a way to live a happy & successful life.
But … I don’t always do that every day.
Few people actually do.
So I’m happy for a holiday dedicated to that mindset.
I know Psalm 107 is a longer one.
But it’s a good one for slowing down and riding the waves of life and reflecting on God’s goodness through it all.
So that’s my challenge for us today.
Carve out some time to read & reflect on Psalm 107.
Enjoy the day and be thankful for the Lord is good and His steadfast love endures forever!
