Seek God’s Kingdom (Part 2)
The investment strategy that could grow forever and give you infinite returns

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

Yesterday I talked about the ROI of joining God’s work.
Today, I’d like to touch on building up the servants & soldiers of God’s Kingdom:
i.e., Investing in People
As part of the imago Dei (Latin for: image of God), something we get to do is echo God’s work of creation in the world. When parents reproduce and bring a new child into the universe, a new soul is created.
I think that’s awesome.
And even though that soul has a beginning point in time, it goes on to live forever.
There is no greater ROI than investing is something that goes on forever.
At least, I can’t think of one.
Anyway, part of our work as believers — and soldiers — in the Kingdom of God is in the rescue mission of lost souls. Another part is in growing souls in the knowledge and wisdom of God.
Both of those works are an essential part of seeking God’s Kingdom.
As a citizen of God’s Kingdom, I have a duty to both share the Good News with people around me and train up anyone that God deems to place under my authority.
This is a heavy calling, one that should be taken seriously.
Thankfully, Jesus gives us a guide as his final words to the disciples on earth: make disciples by going to people, baptizing them, and teaching to observe all that He has commanded.
The whole army field manual is right there.
But what about seeking God’s righteousness?
I’ll tackle that tomorrow.
