Scripture (Part 1)
Daily minute of whispered words
===
Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NET)

Inspiration.
This verse is actually one of the main reasons I chose to name this little email experiment a “Daily Minute of Inspiration.” Because “every scripture is inspired by God.”
I wanted to put something together that gives you a little micro-dose of inspiration each day.
And I wanted to keep it short & sweet, so that you’d never feel like it’s a burden to read.
(Even though some of the topics I tackle are a little difficult … but God’s Word often cuts us right to the heart.)
Not every verse is relevant for every moment in time. But neither is that the goal. Rather, this is about spending daily time with God … soaking in His Word … hearing what He has to say …
slowing down — even for just one minute — to be with God today.
This word “inspired” is often translated as “breathed-out.”
The idea is that the Holy Spirit, throughout the ages, has whispered His Word into the hearts and minds of His chosen people.
This is an intimate word-picture: you don’t just let anyone that close to whisper into your ear. You have to have a large level of trust. And deep relationships are built on a foundation of trust.
Our relationship with God should be deep.
That’s not an easy thing to dig. It takes time and work.
And the most accessible time & work for building this relationship is by spending daily time in Scripture.
Even if it’s only a daily minute of inspiration.
All right, more tomorrow.
