No one wants to be this guy
Filling Big Ministry Shoes
===
That day the Lord brought honor to Joshua before all Israel. They respected him all his life, just as they had respected Moses.
Joshua 4:14 (NET)

How do you fill the shoes of a great leader?
Almost nobody wants to be the guy behind THE GUY.
You’re constantly being compared to their work, their results, their methods.
“Well, so-and-so didn’t do it like that.”
Moses fought against Pharaoh and his gods. He led a people out of slavery and towards the Promised Land. He was leading when the Red Sea parted … fire reigned from heaven … water poured from a rock … manna fell from heaven (daily) … the earth consumed rebellious leaders … God descended on the mountain and gave him the 10 commandments … his face shone like the sun from talking with God.
How do you even follow that?!
With man, it’s impossible. But with God, all things are possible.
The Lord granted favor on Joshua and helped His people respect the new leader.
Many wonders and signs happened around Joshua too, thus proving out that the Lord was with him just as he was with Moses.
We have a big spiritual heritage, essentially big shoes to fill today.
Thousands of years of Hall of Fame Christians who have paved the way for our spiritual walk today.
Even the English Bible was paid for by the blood of martyrs.
The best way I know to fill these shoes is by humbly walking with God every day and trusting His leadership through all of life.
