Life’s #1 most important question
You cannot ignore it -- you must answer it
You Are the Christ
===
He asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.”
Mark 8:29 (NET)
===
Who is Jesus?
That’s the ultimate question everyone in existence must answer.
Either here on earth or on Judgment Day.
C.S. Lewis famously told us that there are only three answers.
Because of the works that Jesus did and the things He said, we cannot put Jesus in the group of “good teacher” or even “prophet.”
He doesn’t allow that.
Because He declared himself equal with God the Father. Because He told us He is the “I Am.”
We only have the three choices:
Liar
Jesus could have done everything as one big deception. He could have deceived the people -- probably similar to the game plan Satan will take when deceiving the world as the Anti-Christ (if the end times happen that way).
That would be tragic and would make fools of every Christian. Or…
Lunatic
Jesus could have been crazy. Everyone else who declares themselves God is considered crazy, why not Him?
That, too, would be tragic for believers. Or…
Lord
Jesus was telling the truth the whole time.
Everything He said and did on the earth is actually true and He really is the savior of the world.
You must answer the question, and your answer determines everything.
Choose wisely.
