How to find all the wisdom you could need
Ask for Wisdom
===
But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5 (NET)
===
I’ve been relying on this verse a lot this past year.
Not only in my day to day life, trying to navigate how I interact with people, but also in my business ventures and thinking about the future.
It’s a difficult transition because I like to rely on myself so much.
Yet God tells me to go ahead and ask Him for wisdom.
More than that, He is generous in giving out wisdom.
Something you see when you read through the Proverbs (the quintessential wisdom book) is how much wisdom is open and available to you.
We tend to think that wisdom is some hidden knowledge that must be uncovered … but that’s almost the exact opposite.
Cults operate with secret knowledge; God freely gives out wisdom.
Here we are in the most information rich time in history. Any piece of knowledge that you could possibly want is available at your fingertips.
If you don’t know how to handle finances, you can find out for free.
If you don’t know how to handle conflict, you can find out for free.
So much information, openly available, all we need to do is seek it out.
Beyond the internet, the Bible has been preserved for our learning.
God made sure that His Word stands the test of time so we can dig into it and find the wisdom we’re looking for.
Finally, we can also ask the Holy Spirit to fill us with His wisdom.
What a blessed time to be alive!
