Here’s a testament to God’s faithfulness
Not One Promise Failed

Look, today I am about to die. You know with all your heart and being that not even one of all the faithful promises the Lord your God made to you is left unfulfilled; every one was realized—not one promise is unfulfilled!

In his final days, Joshua, leader of the people of Israel and commander of the army that conquered the Promised Land, left them with an awesome testament of God’s faithfulness:
All of His promises were fulfilled.
I think that’s easy to gloss over in the midst of morning reading.
And it’s easy to forget when we find ourselves walking through the valley of the shadow of death.
Yet it’s a truth of who God is.
He will never fail His promises.
The caveat here is that not everything we think is a promise from God was actually a promise God made to us.
So there is a danger of blaming God for failing things He -- in fact -- didn’t promise.
But if we come to Him with the right attitude, and understand what is actually a promise He is making toward us, then we too can see a grand testament of His faithfulness.
It’s more than just the pages of the Bible.
We have hundreds of years of stories of believers living in the promises of God -- even when life throws the most evil possible their way.
You’ve probably got stories of God’s faithfulness in your own life or in your family.
Treasure these stories. Never forget them. Pass them on as a reminder of God’s power & goodness & faithfulness.
That’s a legacy worth leaving to the next generation.
