God’s Presence
Pause for consideration

And the Lord said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Exodus 33:14 (NET)

Is there anything better than this?
That the God of the universe is with us believers?
What a God we serve.
Not just serve, but have a relationship with. I know there’s the reality of Him being the King of the universe and we must bow before Him. He deserves all of it.
Yet He also desires to be with us.
When Jesus called the disciples, He called them to first be with Him.
As a guy who loves absorbing information, I tend to forget how much teaching is done through presence. Children learn from their parents by being with them, watching them, imitating them, etc.
Not much of a parent’s lecture sticks if it differs wildly from the life they live.
Because we catch more than we’re taught.
The disciples caught more from Jesus than He taught them (probably).
This is one of the reasons I’m such a big fan of getting people to slow down and spend a little time with God every day.
I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible by sharing these one-minute emails. They’re a chance for us to pause and hear from God.
(Yes, I read them too. You’d be surprised how fresh they feel after only a few nights of sleep, haha!)
So, again I’ll ask, is there anything better than being with God?
