God Is Able
đ¶ Come with me, and youâll be, in a world beyond imagination
===
Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NET)

What are the limits of your imagination?
In the Old Testament, thereâs a story of Joshua fighting a battle. God delivers the enemy into their hands, their victory looks assured, but the day is waning. Joshua needed more time to complete the battle otherwise the enemy would escape under the cover of night.
So he did something radical.
He prayed that God would make the sun stand still.
God answered that ostentatious prayer, had the âsun stand stillâ for about a day, and Israel was able to ensure complete victory.
Quite the story.
And yet âŠÂ
Itâs within the limits of our imaginations.
But whatâs beyond what we could ask or think?
Those are the things God is able to do. Things so astronomically amazing that we cannot even comprehend them. That weâve never even dreamed of them.
Yet reality for God.
If God is so big, and so powerful, why donât I trust Him more?
Why do I rely on my own strength or intelligence to solve issues, rather than crying out to my Father who loves me so?
There is no good answer. All I can muster up is a bunch of excuses.
At least God is also gracious beyond measure, and gives me room to learn & grow. He doesnât condemn me for my shortcomings, but draws me closer to Him, urging me on with His love.
Today is a good day, because God is good.
All the time.
