You can’t buy your way into heaven.
Money is fine, but it only solves money problems here on the earth.
In heaven?
We walk on gold.
That reality always astounds me.
One of the most precious assets here on earth, something worth around $4,000 an ounce right now, is literally as valuable as dirt in heaven.
What could you or I possibly bribe God with?
Nothing.
Obviously.
Yet He loves us so much that He sent His only Son to live a perfect life and die in our place so that we would have a path to righteousness and eternity with Him.
All because He wants a relationship with us.
It’s a phenomenal amount of love.
It also contrasts much with the limited riches that we may or may not have.
Even if I were to become the richest man in the world, I couldn’t trade it in for righteousness.
You cannot buy your way into heaven.
(yes, I’m repeating the point for emphasis.)
But we can accept the gift of grace.
We can also share the offer of this gift with others. In fact, we are commissioned to share this offer with the world.
