Finding God
Overcoming the blocks that keep me from finding God
===
But if you seek the Lord your God from there, you will find him, if, indeed, you seek him with all your heart and soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 (NET)

We often think of finding wisdom like climbing to the top of a rugged mountain.
In a lot of literature, the wise guru sits at the top of the mountain, waiting for the budding apprentice to prove their worth by trekking the dangerous climb and asking for the guru’s wisdom.
In other words, the guru is hard to find.
I’m glad God isn’t like that.
The Bible is the best selling book in the world.
We have thousands of pieces of manuscripts, from ancient sources, showing that what we have is what they had too.
Not only do we have Scripture printed out in abundance for us today (a feat that was accomplished through the faithful work of many martyrs) but we have creation itself testifying to the reality of a Creator.
No one is without excuse.
God has shown the world that He is here.
Yet, we have a part to play too. Our interaction with God is a part of a relationship with Him. It takes more than one person to make a relationship work.
We must seek Him out.
Thankfully, God has promised that if we do seek Him out, we will find Him … if we’re sincere.
So if I’m struggling to find God today, what might I be doing that’s blocking me from finding Him.
Because I’m confident God is doing His part.
I need to do mine as well.
