Doing Something New
š Happy New Year! š„³

āDonāt remember these earlier events; donāt recall these former events. Look, I am about to do something new. Now it begins to happen! Do you not recognize it? Yes, I will make a road in the wilderness and paths in the wastelands.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NET)

Each new day brings a reset.Ā
A fresh start.
Thatās maximized for a new year.
I thought these verses would be encouraging for anyone looking to put 2025 behind them and get a new start for 2026.
Part of the beauty of the Gospel is that God gives us new life in Him.
Here we see God talking about turning the wild, untamed land into an organized road.
Probably a metaphor. We know that as believers we have the Holy Spirit here, living in us, guiding us into the straight & narrow way.
Although, I must admit, the Christian path is not always obvious.
Iām in a season right now where the āright pathā for me seems obscure.
This has more to do with the fact that Iām choosing between different options that are all within the boundaries of Scripture. So, in a sense, I ācanātā make a wrong choice.
This has sort of made it hard for me to pick the ārightā choice.
I also think that this is part of the maturation of my relationship with God. That He would speak softer and softer, inviting me to lean in closer and closer to Him.
As frustrating as that feels, itās also an honor to grow deeper with Christ.
Anyway, those are some of my thoughts.
I hope 2026 brings you a fresh start.
Forget the past, focus on the future.
Godās still good ⦠all the time.
