Christ’s Workmanship
Stop working your plan and do this instead

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

Some good news for you today.
God has a purpose and a plan for you while you’re waiting on Christ’s return.
I remember back when I was in college I went through Henry Blackaby’s Experiencing God study.
One of the main teachings in the study is that God is always at work around us. Instead of trying to go out, do my own mission things, and hoping that God blesses it … it’s much better to find out where God is already at work and then join Him.
For one thing, He’s much more likely to bless the work He’s already doing than the “great idea” that I have.
(It’s probably a terrible idea, actually.)
Another thing:
We were created for the good works that God has prepared for us.
It’s freeing to know that God has great plans for my life, for the impact I can make on His Kingdom, and He wants to share that with me.
God wants me to join Him in His Kingdom work.
I realize that’s a lot like a 3-year-old joining in the cleaning the house effort, but it’s still (1) what God wants me to do and (2) a joy for Him to watch me do the best I can.
Even if I make a complete mess of things.
I don’t know what kind of specific work God has for you today, but I’m confident that if you took some time to ask the Holy Spirit, He would reveal it to you.
After all, He’s already prepared it.
