Amazing love indeed!
God Takes Care of Us

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people.
For he has satisfied those who thirst, and those who hunger he has filled with food.

I wrote yesterday on being satisfied in the Lord and how He provides for us.
Well, here’s another verse that supports that, from a more positive angle.
It begins with thanksgiving.
I’ve talked about the importance of thanksgiving before, how it’s an attitude that leads to a better life.
Even non-Christians can agree that it’s a valuable attitude to cultivate.
In this case, we have evidence to base our thanksgiving on:
God takes care of our hunger and thirst.
More than simply meeting our needs, the poetry here paints a picture of abundance. This isn’t a magic formula, but it is a rhythm of how God operates.
In Him we have our life and breath and sustenance for all of life.
In short, every good and perfect gift comes from God.

Beyond just our needs, we have this incredible love from the Lord.
The loyal love is all part of the covenant the Lord made with His children.
And even if we aren’t loyal to Him -- which we aren’t because we sin all the time -- He is still faithful to us.
No matter how many times I think about that reality, I’m still astounded.
Amazing love indeed!
