❄️ A blanket of snow to start the day
Snow
===
He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes.
Psalm 147:16 (NET)

Since it’s a snow day across the country, I thought it would be interesting to look at a verse dealing with snow.
There aren’t that many of them.
I like this one because it gives us a reminder of who’s in charge of everything.
God sends the snow and the frost to blanket the world.
I sometimes think of natural phenomena as some chaotic force that happens based around a series of variables driving the weather.
I suppose that could be the case.
But we also have stories of Jesus commanding the wind and the waves to calm down, a miracle that amazed His own disciples.
If God wants nature to do something, it responds immediately.
Yet how often do I respond immediately?
Unfortunately, fewer times than I should.
Most of the time I hem & haw and question God and give a bunch of excuses until I finally decide to go ahead and do the thing that He wants me to do in the first place.
Which is really a waste of time & energy.
I’m better off just trusting God from the very beginning and following His lead.
Snow days are a good time to sit back and think. To reflect on the world.
Maybe take some time and see where God might be wanting you to move and decide to go with Him.
I’m sure it’ll be worth it.
